A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent email addresses under the same domain. For example, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can get email messages from mates or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a cloud web hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section includes quite a few functions, but it’s remarkably easy to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes just one single mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you will simply have to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the particular email address. Our system will notify you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes one more click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be enabled without any difficulty if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you have created with the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you will notice a tiny button handily situated right next to each of them. With only one click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate the feature through the menu that will appear. If any of the conditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will warn you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
